Both probes have worked very well on all flights since last reporting.
Both instruments worked very well during the flight.
The 2D-S and CPI had great flights. The 2D-S saw massive amounts of particles during sampling in the convective ITCZ. The Horizontal channel had condensation on the window issues in the upper passes of the cumulus cloud but started sampling again in the lower parts.

Both the CPI and the 2D-S had great flights, there was sampling of aggregation of rosettes in the cirrus layer just before the CALYPSO underpass. During the underpass there were scattered very few large graupel particles within the water cloud, perhaps falling from the cirrus above.
The 2D-S horizontal channel array became out of alignment shortly after takeoff and no valid data was recorded. The vertical channel worked optimally. The CPI performed very well.
Both instruments performed very well during the flight
For RF2 the 2D-S collected good data on both arrays. There was an issue of condensation on the windows of one of the arrays while in the dust and clear air. But for all cloud penetrations good data was collected to a satisfactory level. The CPI performed good. The heavy precipitation on a particle detector laser caused the particle imager to trigger randomly on noise for part of the flight, especially during 1404-1420. After minimal maintenance on Tuesday both instruments will be ready to fly Wednesday
The 2D-S had a great flight, both array channels were working perfectly. The 2D-S saw areas of large rosette particles and large irregular particles in the cirrus and weak convection. The CPI had a good flight as well.
